Nacua’s Abrupt Practice Exit
Adding to the Rams' woes, Pro Bowl wide receiver Puka Nacua exited practice early on Sunday with a knee injury. Nacua left the field after just an hour and spent the remainder of the session on the sideline with an ice pack wrapped around his right knee. Although the sight was concerning, McVay offered some reassurance.
"I know he wants to be out here more than anybody," McVay noted, describing Nacua's injury as "week-to-week" and "not serious". For a player of Nacua's caliber, any absence feels marked. Last season, he set NFL rookie records for receptions and receiving yards, making his presence on the field invaluable.
"He's got a body of work; there's a reason why we felt so strongly about being able to add him here. This is another little temporary setback," McVay emphasized.

He's going to continue to get better in the way that he can, really understanding some things. … He's equipped to handle it the right way and he's got people that are going to put their arm around him in the meantime."
